Job Description: With URS physical expansion through projects across Australia, our teams are experiencing rapid growth throughout NSW. With the additions to our Surface Transport Team, a Manager with 10 - 20 years experience in both CAD and team supervision is required. Providing leadership and guidance is the key quality which is required in this role and your passion and background in Civil Design along with the ability to share this enthusiasm are essential. Key responsibilities in this exciting position include: • Management of design documentation packages and undertaking of technical work associated with road, rail, mining and water infrastructure • Responsiblity for managing and providing a specialised drafting service for major engineering projects whilst being accountable for the delivery of design documentations to high technical standards both on time and budget • Co-ordination and liaison with designers and project managers • Assistance with preparation of design tenders and proposals • Reviewing productivity through checking drawings to ensure compliance with the relevant codes, standards, Quality Assurance requirements and URS drafting practices The above responsibilities are just some of what you will be involved in. This really is a 360 degree role which will require hard work but in turn, will regularly provide superior job satisfaction.
