Job Description
* Rail- Victorias boom industry * Up to USD 75k pkg * CBD based- 38 hour week The rail industry is the new boom industry of Australia. Forget going to WA for Oil & Gas projects Rail is receiving over USD 10bn in infrastructure over the next few years. Our client is Victorias largest regional passenger transport operator with a long history of serving its communities through rail and other transport disciplines. With enough work for the next decade delivering major infrastructure work which will enhance Victorias rail system they currently require a number of track engineers to join their rail team. Reporting to the Project Manager for that specific project the engineer will supervise and manage labour and contractors. You will have experience in detailed cost estimates, procurement of materials and programming, monitoring progress and cost tracking. Ideally you will have a track record of managing or at least been involved in projects from their inception to completion. You will have successfully delivered projects to schedule and within budget. Experience in rail construction and maintenance projects including timber / concrete sleeper renewal, level crossing upgrades, surfacing and ballasting would be preferred. However our client is willing to look at civil engineers with carparks, buildings and drainage experience.
