Job Description

One of Melbournes most recognised civil contractors who are located close to the CBD, are currently busier than they have ever been before. With major plans to grow their water, tunnelling and rail businesses,and their major projects team about to embark on a USD 30m Vic roads job, the concern is now to grow their estimating team to continue this development.

They are now looking to grow again and gain more market share. They now require 2 civil estimators, one senior and one intermediate.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

* lead / assist the preparation of timely, accurate and profitable tender submissions.
* assist the operations team in the analysis and recommendation of construction methods and selection of suitable subcontractors.
* identify, detail and cost specific risks and opportunities associated with tender submissions.
* support the development of process improvement across the pre-contract function.

To be successful is this key role; you must be able to demonstrate the following:

* 3-10 years experience in first principles estimating, covering a broad range of engineering construction contract forms;
* ability to plan and execute accurate multi-discipline tender submissions;
* Australian construction / engineering industry experience;
* Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills with the ability to present to peers and senior management.
