Job Description
* Newcastle Based Project * Earthworks and Carpark Project - 3 Month Contract * Conpetitive Hourly Rate This Sydney based organisation specialise in civil construction including earthworks, roads, rail, water, heavy industry and industrial and operate across NSW. They pride themselves on providing innovative construction solutions for their clients taking a collaborative approach to each project. The project involves detailed excavation and construction of a carpark on a large retail project. You will be responsible for co-ordinating and supervising sub-contractors, plant and labour hire to ensure work is carried out to programme. You will manage OHS on site including carrying out safety checks, reviewing SWMS, and running toolbox talks. Your main responsibility will be to ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant project plans and you will manage quality systems carrying out audits, document control, rectifying non-compliances, and reporting on project quality to the client and the Project Manager. It is expected you will have degree qualifications in civil engineering with over five years experience in civil construction working on projects above USD 2M. This is a three month contract role however there is a strong possibility there will be further work following the successful completion of this job.
