Job Description
* Newly Created Role * Excellent salary and career path * Customer & Commercial management focus Pacific National is a USD 650 million turnover business and the second largest coal haulage operator in Australia, delivering approximately 118 million tonnes of coal per annum by rail to both domestic and export markets. Reporting to the General Manager Commercial – Coal, this newly created position, with a strategic customer and contract management focus will essentially coordinate all commercial activities for the business with an emphasis on overseeing the ongoing development and management of new and existing customer relationships. Your accountabilities will include, but not be limited to, execution of the commercial strategy, negotiations on a range of matters including long term customer contracts, planning, providing advice on risk and contract management including tender development, new business and strategic advice on commercial issues. It is envisaged that you will possess substantial experience developing and executing customer and commercial strategies in a similar environment. Expert contract negotiation skills and commercial modelling will also be highly regarded along with a tertiary qualification in a commercial discipline. Knowledge of the coal industry and current issues within the logistics/supply chain industry would be advantageous.
