Job Description
Description: PB is overseeing a project where Amtrak has identified 94 station improvement projects to be performed along Burlington Northern Sante Fe Railway Company (BNSF) routes. Many of these projects are funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and must be completed by February 2011. Amtrak will be contracting for these projects in a number of design-build (DB) construction packages. These projects vary in complexity and are dispersed geographically. On-site inspection of all work performed by the DB contractor. Attend Preconstruction Site Meetings, attend daily safety briefing, perform weekly safety assessments, verify compliance with site-specific safety plans and site-specific work plans, verify BNSF security/safety certifications are current for entire DB workforce, coordinate with BNSF flagmen, complete daily/weekly reports, and generate/closeout project punchlists on BNSFs behalf. Requirements: Registrations/Certifications Required: BNSF E-Railsafe and Contractor Safety Orientation Education and Qualifications Required: (Include Years of Experience Req’d) B.S. degree with 15 years construction experience or H.S. diploma with 25 years construction experience Additional Comments: Extensive travel during all forms of winter weather will be required.
