Description:

This Lead Office Engineer will be responsible for the document processing and administration on the Core Systems design-build-operate-maintain (DBOM) contract within the USD 5.4 billion Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor Project.

Serving on the staff of the General Engineering Consultant (GEC), the position will report to the Contract Manager. Responsibilities will include the following:

* Supervise and coordinate the activities of office engineers, document control, administrative personnel and other project professionals. Assure that documents are reviewed and processed in a timely manner in accordance with GEC procedures.
* Lead field office contract administration activities; direct documents to appropriate resources for review and response using Contract Management software.
* Keep Contract Manager apprised of progress and issues associated with documents and contract administration.
* Participate in meetings with DBOM and client contributing in areas within purview.
* Participate in the review of Design-Build submittals, as assigned.
* Review and process DBOM contractor progress payments.
* Draft correspondence for signature by others.
* Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* Engineering or construction management degree preferred. Ability to understand the technical and commercial aspects of documents processed required.
* Large project equipment supply/installation experience. Rail equipment experience is a plus.
* Office engineering experience in a field office, administering contracts and processing documents.
* Strong communication and people skills.
* Computer proficient and knowledgeable in database systems. Contract Management software experience is a plus.
* Team player.
