Job Description
Job Description The Traction Power undertakes projects of various sizes, many of which are multi-disciplinary. The successful candidate will be based in our Croydon Office. He/she will initially manage the electrical aspects of projects of various sizes, both from a technical and managerial perspective, using the staff resources available within the section. If appropriate this will be extended to include the management of multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will be expected to develop relationships with key clients and continue to effectively promote Mott MacDonald and the services we offer. He/she will be expected to play a key role in business development. The successful candidate will be expected to proactively develop the staff working for him/her to create and maintain an effective and harmonious section. Candidate Specification The candidate will ideally: • Be a Chartered electrical engineer with extensive post qualification experience. • Have experience with a consultant, client or in industry. • Have designed and managed electrical aspects of major power projects • Experience in heavy and light rail. • Have a good grasp of the financial principles of project management. • Have the ability to communicate with clarity both verbally and in writing. • Be able to represent Mott MacDonald at a senior level with clients on both a technical and contractual level. • Be prepared to work overseas for up to six months at a time.
