Job Description
* Major Manufacturing Operation * International Company * Northern Suburbs This market leading international manufacturing organisation supplies spare parts to the Automotive industry and has several high profile clients with a pipeline of secure work in South Australia. Separating their business into Production, Purchasing, Storage and Logistics this role will oversee these four groups with a heavy emphasis on production and overseas purchasing. Success will be achieved through effectively managing the supply chain process from sourcing materials through to storing the goods once manufactured. Reporting to the Operations Manager and with regular overseas liaison your responsibilities will include: managing the feasibility and accuracy of the rolling production plan, the purchasing agreements of materials and parts, overseeing the plan for product packing and transport and transferring data into SAP to reflect accurate and timely stock information. Tertiary qualified in a production related field and superior management and communication skills (Mandarin would be advantageous) will see you make a positive impact on the business. Experience in the manufacturing sector is critical with automotive being desirable but not essential. Your knowledge of production scheduling, purchasing, logistics, storage management and cost accounting will enable you to manage your direct reports appropriately.
