This major rail organisation owns large swathes of Australias rail infrastructure, predominantly in regional areas and have a substantial programme of major projects across Australia.

One such major project in Sydneys South, aims to create a dedicated freight line into Sydney to relieve congestion on the main passenger line thus increasing capacity for freight coming into the city. This multi-million dollar project is being carried out by a number of first tier and second tier contractors who are each responsible for different aspects of the project eg: (stations, track, earthworks etc...). This client therefore requires experienced Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers with civils and ideally rail experience also to oversee the work carried out by the contractors and also subcontractors on the project. These engineers will be the eyes of the client and will be there to ensure that the project is delivered effectively and efficiently.

Engineers will be looked at who have experience in areas such as drainage and earthworks and also structures. Rail experience as mentioned earlier is a clear benefit as there are numerous unique challenges that working in a rail corridor presents. Candidates at all levels will be looked at from Site Engineer up to Senior Project Engineer/Area Manager although candidates must have demonstrable post graduate experience working in the field either client-side or for a blue chip contractor organisation.
