Job Description
* Initially 5 month contract * Working on major transport infrastructure project * CBD location- flexible working conditions Our client is at the heart of all major transport infrastructure, holding the purse strings to building a brighter future for Victoria. With the possibility of a new rail development taking place they require a qualified and experienced project manager to take on a role of early project definition and planning work. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a complex definition and planning process ensuring that the project is planned effectively and to the quality, scope, programme and budget. A key requirement will be the establishment and maintenance of effective relationships with the key specialist staff and consultants and a broad range of interest groups and stakeholders. The person will have to have high level conceptual and analytical skills, with an ability to analyse complex issues and risks, to seek innovative and different solutions to problems, and conceive and develop actions for implementation. The candidate must have a proven track record and the ability to develop and manage complex projects in definition or delivery. Experience with major civil engineering, infrastructure projects, or in a project orientated commercial, government or financial environment. This is a 5 month contract initially, and the opportunity to work with the government arena helping to assist in the growth and development of Victorias transport system.
