Job Description
* Fixed Term 18 month contract
* Immediate start
* Paying up to USD 65,000 + super

Located in the Northern suburbs this statutory authority is seeking a purchasing officer for an 18 month fixed term contract. You will be working on an exciting rail construction project and be reporting directly to the procurement manager.

In this position you will be required to provide project procurement support across all disciplines, maintain the procurement registry in accordance with procurement procedures, and negotiate pricing with suppliers to produce beneficial outcomes for the project.

To be suitable for this position you will have previous experience in a similar purchasing role, ideally within the rail, construction or government industry. It is essential that you have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
