Job Description
Talascend are currently recruiting for a Senior track engineer to join one of Australias largest engineering companies on a major project in Western Australia. The Senior track engineer will provide technical support under general supervision in relation to design and engineering services for civil engineering projects. This position reports to the Lead Civil Engineer. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES * Ensures all civil engineering project work complies with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices. * Prepares preliminary and detailed designs, specifications and documentation for all civil engineering project work and ensures project work complies with conditions and parameters set out in project scope of works. * Ensures all civil engineering project work is completed on time and within budget. * Prepares documentation for standards, procedures, safe working practices and monitors regimes in respect of work on or around civil engineering projects. * Liaises with other department engineers and draftspersons to ensure project goals are met. * Assists with the preparation of civil engineering budget. * Develops and trains Graduate Civil Engineers. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 3-5 years experience in a project engineering office designing civil works for large engineering, rail and infrastructure projects. Demonstrated commercial acumen in the engineering and construction environment. Specific experience within Rail projects designing track.
