Job Description
* Rail- Victorias growth industry * 18 month project- Melbourne based * Client side- stability due to future project involvement The construction of a new USD 50m+ rail facility in central Melbourne has created the requirement for a construction manager to oversee the delivery of this project. Working for the client you will be reporting directly into the project director. With a team of engineers and project managers directly underneath you, they are looking to get this position on board a month before the project goes to site. This will allow the individual the time to understand the procedures and processes, as well as the contracts and drawings. The ideal candidate will have in the region of 20 years experience in the civil or building industries. Due to the seniority of this role, the candidate will have worked for a major contractor in the delivery of civil or building projects in the excess of USD 80m. Ideally the candidate will have experience in the rail industry as you will understand the interface management issues. You will also be familiar with AS 2124 D&C projects.
