Job Description
DESCRIPTION Role Description As Signalling Commissioning Engineer working for Thales, the successful candidate will be responsible for the testing, certification and commissioning of new and altered signalling infrastructure. The Rail signalling solutions will be based on the Thales industry leading rail signalling technology. Responsibilities The following responsibilities will form a large part of the Signalling and Commissioning Engineers role, but are not mutually exclusive: Assist with the development of rail signalling solutions. This includes both schedule and cost estimates and risk identification for the project definition and implementation. Project management of the test and commissioning of rail signalling solutions from concept through to final handover. Manage progress of the test and commissioning components of the project schedule. Evaluation of functionality and performance of the commissioned signalling systems, including provision of respective reports for clients. Experience We will consider applicants with a proven work history of rail signalling testing and commissioning, ideally experience on signalling projects for Australian rail customers in one or more of the following states, NSW, VIC or QLD. Personal Qualities To be considered for a role the successful candidate/s will have demonstrated diagnostic, analytical and problem solving skills and possess effective oral and written communication skills. In addition, they will have the ability to build and sustain relationships within Thales, show initiative and innovation and be able to contribute to the formation of a positive team culture.
