Job Description
Job Responsibilities We are currently seeking a Rail Systems Director within our North American Infrastructure division. Ideally this individual will be based on the East Coast, with a preference for New York, New Jersey or Philadelphia; however we are open to discussing other Jacob’s locations. Selected candidate will oversee signals, traction power, and catenary systems in support of major railway and transit projects. Provide Quality reviews and senior level technical reviews of drawings and specifications. Supervisory and administrative responsibility over a group of engineers or functions as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Responsibilities include assuring effective utilization of engineering personnel, and technical quality. Training and Experience Basic Qualifications * Minimum 20 years experience in Rail Engineering, specifically rail and transit programs, including a minimum 10 years in management. * BS Civil or Electrical Engineering or related discipline required Additional Minimum Qualifications/Preferred Qualifications * Knowledge of U.S. railroad and transit operations * Ability to provide technical support for proposal development * Demonstrated expertise with Federal Railroad Administration rules and AREMA standards required * Strong communications and interpersonal skills are necessary. * PE preferred.
