Job Description
* World class logistics organisation * Identify and develop new business and project opportunities * Sydney CBD location This high profile organisation is known as one of the world’s largest logistics companies. Due to its recent expansion into the Australian market this challenging position has arisen which is integral to building and expanding the business throughout Australia. Reporting to the Division Head and Local Management Team, you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating and developing new business opportunities as well as assisting with project development and extending the organisation’s operations nationally. Managing a small team, you will be required to understand and develop strategies for the handling of containers and the landside logistics markets, along with developing business strategies and customer engagement plans and building relationships with key stakeholder groups, industry associations and the relevant government bodies. With demonstrated skills and experience in project development, you will have proven success in identifying and developing new business investment opportunities. With the knowledge of project development, you will have the ability to conceptualise and strategise, along with being hands-on in driving these initiatives forward. An in-depth knowledge of Australian logistics and international trade is essential, having held senior positions ideally within shipping, stevedoring or freight forwarding organisations. Additional knowledge of road and rail transport will be advantageous.
