Job Description
* Large African Port Project * Work for this WA based Mining Company * Perth based A great opportunity has come up to work for a WA based mining company on one of their iconic African projects. A pre-feasibility study has identified a significant high grade hematite prospect and this has led to the funding and resource commitment to getting this project underway. The project has been estimated at over USUSD billion and this would include a large mine upgrade, 500km of rail and a large port upgrade. As the Senior Project Engineer for this position you will be overseeing the entire port package. The port is currently established but will be extensively upgraded to deal with the exportation of iron ore - estimated USUSD 500m. As the Senior Project Engineer you will have strong experience in the development of conceptual designs, estimated costs and project schedules during feasibility and development stages of the project. You will be a qualified engineer with a background is site based engineering and management - although this role is Perth based. As a successful candidate you will have a large project background and specifically in port development. Your involvement in the mining industry is essential and exposure to the client side would be preferable. This role will be based in Perth but site visits will be required.
