Job Description
Primary Job Responsibilities Senior Rail Project Manager will manage complex rail transportation projects from conception to completion to include proposal preparation, client management, financial oversight, quality assurance and staff management. May be viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization resolving problems of greater scope and complexity. May plan and develop projects or design activities which have significant impact on major company programs. May plan, organize, and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians. Although may serve as project manager on larger projects, project management is not sole focus of position. We seek an individual who desires increasing responsibility to assist the Raleigh, NC in developing a successful design, design/build Rail / transit practice. Qualifications include Project Management/Senior Project Engineer experience with strong rail mass transit experience. A bachelor’s degree and P.E.required, with 12 or more years of experience with heavy civil infrastructure engineering consulting firm. Experience with city, county and state wide transportation authorities for light rail and rapid transit systems. Prefer experience with transit agencies or FTA, Class 1 railroads, familiar with FRA regulations, and experience with designing, building light rail and mass transit passenger systems. Training and Experience This position requires a minimum of ten years experience as a Project Manager or project related experience. A BS degree is required and an advanced degree and professional registration are preferred.
