Job Description
Job Description Due to the awarding of a new contract and an increase in work, our client, a multidisciplinary contractor is seeking to employ a Senior Quantity Surveyor to be based in their Elstree office working within their Rail Division. The client works on a variety of projects within the rail industry, including lineside civil engineering works, M&E, E&P and similar works for clients including Network Rail, LUL etc. The purpose of the role is to implement commercial and procurement management and reporting systems and procedures for rail contracts. You will evaluate and manage all contractual risks and work with Project Managers to maximise commercial benefits of all responsible contracts. It is essential that you will have a strong, proven background in quantity surveying, degree qualified, and ideally chartered, or working towards this. Experience of working within the rail industry would be a benefit, however a strong background in civil engineering or utility works is acceptable. You will be a strong negotiator, highly organised with strong man management and development skills.
