This is the opportunity to work with a major monopoly operator who provides industrial maintenance, construction and engineering services to the water, power, transport, communications and defence sectors, using strong technology partnerships with world-leading organisations.
Our client has successfully delivered major infrastructure solutions for over 50 years and is looking to groom a Signal Engineer towards a SENIOR MANAGERIAL ROLE while working on various major projects. Reporting to the Signal Surveillance Manager you will underatke a broad range of railway technical activities, with an emphasis on railway signalling for a number of project teams.The signal engineer will be responsible for provideing timely and accurate technical advice in consultation with staff and contractors. The KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES involved will be Providing technical expertise, advice and support in the review of project briefs, guidelines specifications and contract documentation and initiate the identification of complex technical issues and ensure the delivery of appropriate resolutions. Assist Project Managers and others to perform signalling project definition activities, undertake and perform signalling project scoping of works, perform signalling estimates and similar technical activities relates to signalling engineering definition activities. Undertake project site surveillance and survey activities and produce concise and accurate engineering based documentation reflective of the undertaken activities. Conduct signal surveillance activities, documenting any irregularities, and work towards resolution of any identified issues along with Undertaking reviews of signalling Testing and Commissioning Plans, Testing and Commissioning Programs and various other signalling testing certificates and documentation. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated extensive experience in railway signalling and communications, design, construction and management areas aswell as exposure to railway signalling design Demonstrated capacity to identify complex technical issues, be able to undertake technical investigations and be able to provide concise recommendations and reports with appropriate resolutions.
