Job Description
Job Responsibilities We are currently seeking a Signal Engineering/Design Project Manager within our North American Infrastructure division. Ideally this individual will be based in Boston, MA however we are open to discussing other Jacob’s locations. Candidates will provide project management for signal engineering/design of major railway and transit projects. Provide quality reviews and senior level technical reviews of signal drawings and specifications. Supervisory and administrative responsibility over a group of engineers or functions as a technical specialist formulating and developing advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Responsibilities include assuring effective utilization of engineering personnel, and technical quality. Training and Experience Basic Qualifications * Minimum 10 years related experience in railway signal design, with at least 5 years in a lead capacity * AAS Civil or Electrical Engineering or related discipline required Additional Minimum Qualifications/Preferred Qualifications * BS preferred * Demonstrated expertise with Federal Railroad Administration rules and AREMA standards required * Strong communications and interpersonal skills are necessary. * PE preferred (experience can be substituted) * Knowledge of U.S. railroad/subway operations * Ability to provide technical support for proposal development
