Job Description
* Rail experts only * Practical rail signalling engineering experience including experience working on-site * Management experience essential A well established Perth based rail company is currently looking for a permanent Signal Maintenance Manager. The aim of the maintenance team is to ensure that the maintenance of signalling, level crossing safety systems and control systems are fully operational, In order to be successful in this role you will manage the team to ensure that all equipment / system failures are reviewed, investigated, monitored and analysed against performance, standards and irregularities. Your role will have a strong focus on people management and ensuring work is conducted and done within a safe environment. From a corporate level you will have the opportunity to develop and review processes and procedures conducted by this rail company to ensure the smooth running and continued improvement of service. You will have great input in preparing cost estimates and proposals and as part of project delivery your focus will be centralised around the setting, monitoring and controlling of budgets. You will use your expertise gained through previous technical experience, project management and contract management to ensure that the team is equipped with the knowledge and motivation to deliver. The successful candidate will be degree qualified (preferably in electrical / electronic engineering and will expertise knowledge of the rail and signalling industry. You will have a strong background in the areas of planning and operations and managing a team. Ideally you will be currently working for a contractor and have exposure to large alliances.
