This leading civil and rail infrastructure contractor is recognised across Australia as being one of Australias most iconic constructors. Over the last six years or so its rail division has grown from strength to strength with a consistent increases in revenue and headcount year on year. It is clearly a division that is growing at a significant rate.

Recently this organisation has received Registered Training Organisation (RTO) status, to deliver Rail Infrastructure programmes to AQTF standards. This means that they have the ability to self-perform training, assessments and accreditation for their workforce. As a result they are currently seeking to appoint a suitably experienced trainer and assessor who will be based in Sydney, but will also work across rail projects in other states.

The incumbent will require training delivery and assessment of Cert 1, 2, and 3 Rail Infrastructure, and RISI programmes, at their newly established rail training facility in Sydneys West, and also on their other rail projects. The post holder will work under the NSW RTO guidelines and Branch Training Manager,

The Trainer and Assessor will be expected to possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:

* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
* PO Level 2
* Minimum of 2 years experience in delivering training and carrying out robust assessments to front line staff
* Minimum 5 years experience in rail construction
* Technical knowledge to ensure validity and accuracy of training materials to minimum of Cert 3 Rail Infrastructure training packages.
* Ability to assess to pre-determined standards and guidelines
* Excellent organisation skills and ability to plan training events.

In addition this person will be expected to manage RTO continuous improvement requirements, and represent the organisation to local and national training bodies.
