For our Locomotives Business Unit based in Zurich/ Switzerland or in Mannheim/ Germany we are currently looking to recruit a



Vehicle Integration Engineering Director (m/f)



who will lead an international team across multiple sites and be a member of the International Locomotives Engineering Management team. In this role you will influence and drive the strategic direction of the division, particularly concerning worldwide projects & partnerships. You will provide business know-how and guidance for strategic decisions and support your team members in important meetings with suppliers, local partners, and customers.



Your main responsibilities:

Managing, steering, planning and controlling all the vehicle integration work for our locomotives business (detailed electrical and mechanic design, industrialization of the products and transfer to serial production)
Establish the specific structures and define responsibilities within the Engineering departments in Europe and locally for worldwide production sites
Prepare, plan and implement structures and management systems in cooperation with the production sites and our ToP/ToT department
Control the engineering progress as well as the interfaces to procurement and production, control the feedback loop during production
Monitor and support the transfer from pre-series production to series production

Qualifications

Master degree in Engineering, preferably in combination with an MBA
Solid senior experience within an international environment preferably in the railway business or a comparable industry
Experience in leading complex site establishment projects or transfers of production.
You are fluent in English; additional language skills (German, Spanish) are an advantage.
In your lengthy and successful professional career you have built up strong leadership and project management experience and learned to work in a target-oriented and efficient manner. Moreover, you are able to identify and develop the talents in your team, to motivate people and to professionally communicate with customers, partners & suppliers
